Frederick “Papa” Emerson Hyser, 88 of Callahan, went home to be with his Lord & Savior on 8/9/2013. Fred was born on May 14, 1925 in Springfield, OH. To Harlin and Daisy Hyser. He was a 1st class Seaman in the United States Navy. He was a gunner on a ship during W.W.II, and won several honors with the United States Postal Service over 45 years. He was also an honory coach for the Callahan Pop Warner Football League and never missed a game. Fred is survived by his loving wife Montana Hyser, daughters Linda (Charles) Alvarez, Tami (Brian) Brown, Julie (Daniel) Sykes, Mirabda (Sam) Proffit, Sarah (Rob) Campbell, Cory Hysre, and 23 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his son James “Buddy” Hyser. Visitation will be held on Mon. 8/12/2013 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Chapel of Callahan Funeral Home with Funeral Services also in the Chapel on Tues. 8/13/2013 @ 11:00a.m. with Rev. Ken Barney officiating. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Jones Cemetery, Callahan. Pallbearers will be James Alvarez, Jeremy Alvarez, Jason Alvarez, Sam Proffit, Tyler Alvarez, and Riley Williams. Condolences may be expressed at www.callahanfh.com.
